A high alpine trail running adventure like no other…

Starting and finishing in Cortina d’Ampezzo (home of the 1956 Olympic Winter Games), this retreat will have you running and hiking along the Alta Via 1—one of the most famous and breathtaking High Routes of the Italian Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll travel hut-to-hut and lodge at different mountain Rifugios each night. Accessible almost exclusively by foot, Rifuigi are charming alpine refuges set high in the mountains for hikers, climbers, mountaineers, and now trail runners. The Dolomite rifugi are considered by many the best in the Alps. Our itinerary will showcase trails and peaks with vistas of over 80% of the Dolomite Mountains.

Traversing mountain passes and running at altitude is considered challenging. To keep this run-centric trip inclusive, we’ll keep the pace slow and comfortable, hiking many of the inclines, and pausing for breaks throughout the day. Rifugi act as refueling stations and are typically never more than 10km apart.

On this adventure, we’ll run, relax and explore the evergreen woods, alpine meadows and lunar landscapes of the Dolomites limestone peaks.

12 spots are available.
